When buying a new Golf Cart, warranty coverage is a key factor in protecting your investment. DACH VEHICLE CORP. (DACH™) offers a Limited Warranty on its vehicles, covering defects in materials and workmanship. This guide explains what is covered, what is not, and how to file a claim.
What Does the DACH Limited Warranty Cover?
DACH guarantees that any new vehicle or component purchased from an authorized dealer or distributor will be free from material and workmanship defects under normal use.
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser or lessee and covers the following:
- Frame: Lifetime coverage
- LiFePO4 Battery (Full Replacement): 5 years (Personal Use Only)
- Electric Motor & Rear Axle: 3 years
- Controller: 3 years
- Solar Panel: 2 years
- All Other Parts and Components: 2 years
- Windshield: 1 year
This parts-only warranty does not cover labor costs for repairs.
Battery Warranty Details
For personal-use vehicles, DACH provides a five-year full replacement warranty for LiFePO4 batteries. Commercial-use vehicles, including rentals and taxis, receive only six months of battery coverage and must be registered accordingly.
Battery warranty conditions include:
- DACH tracks amp-hour usage to determine eligibility.
- Warranty claims require DACH-approved testing.
- Unauthorized modifications void the warranty.
What Isn’t Covered?
This warranty does not cover:
- Regular maintenance (tire pressure, lubrication, adjustments).
- Wear-and-tear parts (brake pads, tires, fuses, bulbs, seat cushions).
- Cosmetic damage (paint fading, weather-related wear).
- Damage from accidents, misuse, neglect, or unauthorized repairs.
- Electrical damage caused by external power surges.
- Labor costs or transportation fees for servicing.
What Voids the Warranty?
The warranty becomes invalid if the vehicle or battery:
- Shows signs of poor maintenance or improper use.
- Has been modified with non-OEM parts.
- Was repaired by unauthorized personnel.
Additionally, any modification that alters the vehicle’s weight distribution, stability, or speed can cause serious safety risks and void coverage.
How to File a Warranty Claim
To submit a claim:
- The purchaser must complete a warranty registration form at the time of sale.
- If the form was not submitted, proof of purchase is required.
- Legal claims for breach of warranty must be filed within three months of the issue arising.
DACH or authorized dealer will repair or replace defective parts with OEM or reconditioned parts at its discretion.
Liability Limitations
DACH is not responsible for:
- Personal injury or property damage from alleged failures.
- Lost time, inconvenience, or economic losses.
- Legal claims beyond the specified warranty period.
Some states may provide additional consumer protections that override these limitations.
The DACH Limited Warranty provides strong coverage for electric vehicle owners, but strict conditions apply. To maintain eligibility, owners must follow proper maintenance procedures, use only OEM parts, and avoid unauthorized modifications.
