Buying a DACH golf cart? Make sure you understand what the warranty actually covers—and what can leave you paying out of pocket. While DACH offers a solid warranty for its Golf Carts, there are several exclusions that could void your coverage.
Don’t get caught off guard. Here’s what the DACH warranty doesn’t cover and how you can protect your investment.
1. Routine Maintenance & Wear-and-Tear
Your warranty won’t cover normal upkeep or wear over time. This includes:
- Tire pressure adjustments
- Brake shoes, bushings, mats, and seat cushions
- Light bulbs, fuses, and decals (except safety decals)
- Cosmetic fading, scratches, or general deterioration
- Lubricants and other standard maintenance items
2. Damage from Neglect, Accidents & Nature
DACH won’t cover repairs for damage caused by:
- Accidents & collisions (including minor fender benders)
- Vandalism or intentional damage
- Acts of nature (flooding, hail, hurricanes, etc.)
- Improper storage (letting the cart sit in extreme weather)
3. Unauthorized Repairs & DIY Modifications
Making changes to your golf cart? Think twice. Any unauthorized modifications can instantly void your warranty:
- Installing non-OEM parts
- Custom electrical work
- Non-DACH repairs or third-party service providers
4. Damage from Poor Storage & Environmental Exposure
If you leave your golf cart exposed to the elements, don’t expect the warranty to cover:
- Paint fading from prolonged sun exposure
- Rust, corrosion, or mildew buildup
- Damage from extreme weather fluctuations
5. Battery Limitations & Exclusions
DACH offers a 5-year full replacement warranty on LiFePO4 batteries for personal-use carts—but there are limits:
- Rental or commercial-use carts only get 6 months of battery coverage
- Modifying the battery (or using non-DACH-approved replacements) voids the warranty
6. You Pay for Transportation Costs
If your DACH golf cart needs repairs, you’re responsible for transport costs such as towing to a service center.
7. Legal Limitations & Liability Disclaimers
DACH does not cover:
- Personal injury or property damage from a vehicle failure
- Lost time, business downtime, or financial inconvenience
And if you need to file a legal claim? You only have three months from the warranty issue date.
How to Keep Your Warranty Valid
To ensure your DACH warranty stays intact:
- Use only DACH-approved parts & repair services
- Follow recommended maintenance & storage guidelines (found in owners manual)
- Register your warranty immediately after purchase
By staying informed about these exclusions, you can protect your investment and avoid expensive surprises. For full warranty details, visit an authorized DACH dealer or their official website.
